Honoring Branch's Hero
As part of the day’s events, The Delaware Cows and the City of Delaware joined forces to honor Charles Thomas a key figure in young Branch Rickey’s life. Thomas, who was a negro league player and a successful denist in New Mexico, was a life-long friend of Mr. Rickey.
